Cluster Operations Manager
Leonardo Hotels is a young company with a large dose of ambition, positivity and creativity! The chain was founded in 2005, and we have made a lot of progress since then - by adding new hotels to the portfolio and launching new restaurant concepts, but also through becoming part of Leonardo Hotels in 2018.
As Leonardo Hotels Benelux, we are within the large Leonardo Hotels Group, responsible for all activities for the 28 hotels in the Netherlands and Belgium. At Leonardo Hotels we place personal development along with attention for each other and for the world high on our agenda. On average, our colleagues work with us for four years, because we always look for good internal career opportunities - and we are quite proud of that! Come join us!
Position Overview:
The Cluster Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple hotels within Amsterdam. This role involves managing and supporting the hotel General Managers to ensure the highest standards of service, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
Dedication to the guest experience is paramount in this role. It requires an exceptional commitment to attention to detail, quality, and guest satisfaction, ensuring our guests are delighted with their stay and our teams consistently achieve top-level ratings and reviews.
The Cluster Operations Manager will act as a key liaison between the General Managers and the Director of Operations, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leadership: Oversee the selection, development, and management of the General Managers (GMs) who report to you. Continuously communicate the organization's vision with them. Coach and Mentor them to achieve their personal, hotel, and organisational goals.
· Operations Management: Guide and support the GMs to ensure operational excellence and impressive guest ratings. Coach and mentor them to inspire a high-performance culture, addressing service gaps, and ensuring commitment to guest satisfaction from all employees. Prioritise the well-being and professional growth of the teams, recognising employee achievements and ensuring an inclusive workplace.
· Strategic Planning: Analyse the business environment with the GMs, identifying and implementing key operational initiatives to improve efficiencies, enhance guest experiences, and drive revenue growth. Set and monitor strategies, goals, and objectives to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.
· Communication Skills: Represent, guide, and inspire company culture within your region. Lead collaboration among hotels, departments within the organisation, and external stakeholders at all levels. Communicate effectively, persuasively, and with impact.
· Business Development: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to improve business operations. Set ambitious targets and take decisive action to ensure these targets are met.
· Compliance and Standards: Ensure correct people management within the teams and compliance with all brand, company, and legal standards. Provide support, clarity, critique, and guidance to hotels not meeting standards or company expectations. Request and approve action plans from hotels as needed.
· Financial Management: Challenge GMs to achieve KPIs by providing insights, identifying issues, and guiding improvements. While each hotel GM is responsible for their own financial KPIs, CAPEX, forecasting, and budgeting, you are accountable for the KPIs of the hotels within your region and for communicating results to the Director of Operations.
· Personal Development: Demonstrate a strong commitment to self-development, self-management, and ethical leadership. Seek growth opportunities, manage responsibilities effectively, and act with integrity.
Qualifications:
· 10 years as a General Manager of a hotel, with experience managing 3-4 star hotels and multi-property management.
· Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.
· Strong skills in financial management and budgeting.
· Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
· Natural problem solver and decision maker.
· Highly motivated and willing to go the extra mile to achieve company goals.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
· Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Familiarity with the hotel industry in the Amsterdam region.
· Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required.

· Further than 10 kilometers from your work, with a maximum of € 10.71 per day.
