Culture & Events Host @ Via Amsterdam

Ok... we are kidding! We are looking for the right fit for this role, so here's a bit more inside information. As the Via Culture & Events host, you have one of the most dynamic roles in the hostel. One minute you are hosting a karaoke event, next you are giving a helping hand at the reception and then you will find yourself giving one of our guests an extensive explanation of all the cool stuff in Amsterdam. You're a social busy bee!

A workday includes:

Morning and/or evening duties in the reception area, restaurant, bar, and recreation areas.
Setting up your work station with relevant cultural information and resources.
Advising guests about internal and external events, activities and other information important to their stay.
Assist with guest check – in/out by providing hostel relevant information and answering questions.
Preparing the bar and other community areas for various events.
Sing your heart out, setup DJ equipment, or line up beer pong cups …every day we have a different event!

You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

You can manage a beer pong tournament without breaking a sweat (organization and multitasking are key!)
You are a people person and an excellent communicator.
Amsterdam is your fav city and you have plenty of recommendations that you want to share.
You are a vibe builder who can see the big picture and but with attention to detail.
You are a team player, but can work independently without instruction.
You bring a friendly, enthusiastic and professional attitude.
You love to tick boxes (preferably the ones above).
