We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As the Executive Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef in all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. You will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen activities, managing staff, and collaborating on menu development to create extraordinary dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality food production, presentation, and service in all dining outlets and events.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning, development, and seasonal changes, incorporating local and sustainable ingredients.
  • Maintain kitchen inventory, order supplies, and manage cost controls to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Uphold strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local health regulations.
  • Assist in training and development programs for kitchen staff to enhance skills and performance.
  • Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of all kitchen equipment.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Stay updated with culinary trends and innovations to continuously elevate our offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • Strong culinary skills and a deep passion for food and hospitality.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Creative and innovative approach to menu planning and food presentation.
  • Proficiency in cost control and inventory management.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus
