We're now looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to lead this extraordinary space and help take our guest experience to the next level.
As the Food & Beverage Manager at Jansz., you are the heart of the restaurant's daily operations. You'll lead and inspire the front-of-house team, ensure the seamless execution of our F&B service, and uphold the character and standards that define the Jansz. experience.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role where your focus will be on people, performance, and guest satisfaction. You will work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, the Restaurant Manager and the Executive Chef to continuously develop the restaurant's concept and offerings - always with a keen eye for detail, quality, and brand alignment.
In addition to managing daily operations, you will contribute strategically by setting goals, monitoring financial performance, driving efficiency, and shaping team development through structured training and coaching. You are part of the Head of Department's team.
Your role in our story
  • Oversee day-to-day FOH operations at Jansz. and ensure consistency in service and guest engagement.
  • Maintain a helicopter view of everything happening on the floor - from table settings to guest interactions.
  • Ensure all preparation, mise & place, and service flows meet the brand's quality and safety standards, including HACCP compliance.
  • Full ownership of the F&B Service P&L
  • Inspire and lead a diverse FOH team including Supervisors, Assistants, and Service Operations Employees.
  • Take a hands-on approach to training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Conduct interviews, onboard new team members, and foster a positive, motivated work culture.
  • Create individual development plans and lead training sessions to continuously grow the team's skills
  • Handle feedback and complaints with grace and professionalism, always aiming for guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Promote upselling initiatives and deliver service that reflects the standards of a 5-star luxury environment.
  • Set and monitor team and department goals - both financial (revenue, cost control, upselling) and operational (efficiency & staffing).
Who are you
You're a hands-on leader with a natural talent for hospitality and an eye for detail. You have a solid experience in a similar role within luxury hospitality or an upscale F&B environment and you know how to balance operations with leadership. You thrive in dynamic settings and are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. Communication comes easily to you, and you're just as comfortable inspiring your team on the floor as you are analysing budgets or fine-tuning processes behind the scenes.
Adaptability is one of your strengths, you remain calm under pressure and always keep the guest experience at the heart of every decision. You're driven by quality, always looking for ways to improve and innovate, and you lead by example with energy, positivity, and integrity. Whether you're onboarding a new team member or rolling out a new service concept, you're someone who others look to for guidance, support, and inspiration.
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus), you have a deep appreciation for what it means to deliver five-star service and share the story of a brand like Pulitzer Amsterdam with every guest who walks through the door.
