About the role

Join our dynamic team as a Front Office Agent Intern in the heart of Amsterdam, Netherlands! We're looking for enthusiastic individuals with a hospitality DNA eager to kick-start their career in the hospitality industry. As a Front Office Agent Intern, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring their stay is nothing short of exceptional from check-in to check-out.

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner

  • Manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently

  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously

  • Assist with room reservations and modifications

  • Handle basic administrative tasks, including data entry and report generation

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction

  • Learn and operate hotel management software systems

  • Assist in handling guest complaints and escalate when necessary

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an MBO or HBO degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field (the internship needs to be a mandatory part of your program)

  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional attitude

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office suite

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

  • Basic understanding of hotel operations is a plus

  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch or other languages is an advantage

  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing in the hospitality industry
