THE POSITION

We’re searching for an enthusiastic Front Office Manager, that enjoys working in a fast-paced workplace and an international team, serving many different kinds of guests! In the hotel, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As well as lunches and dinners for groups, for our staff canteen and we have two meeting rooms on the 1st floor. Our restaurant, Express Café & Bar Noord, is located on the ground floor of the hotel and has 60 covers. For our lunch and dinner menu, we work together with local suppliers from Amsterdam Noord. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting, training, and supervising the Front Office team;
  • Ensuring that all guest-related tasks are handled accurately and on time to improve guests' experience;
  • Ensure that all team members are trained in FLS;
  • Handling guest complaints and special requests;
  • Checking guest reviews and feedback, ensuring to take a corrective measure if needed;
  • Scheduling staff shifts and assisting other HR-related tasks;
  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the reception area;
  • Ensure company’s policies, brand standard and security requirements are met;
  • Assist in taking control and accountability for the daily operations of the department;
  • Ensure good communication between all departments and the Front Office to better serve our guests and a consistent positive outcome for the department’s goal.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree level of education; experience in Holiday Inn Express hotels is an advantage.
  • At least 2 years’ of experience in a supervisory/managerial role;
  • Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken. Dutch knowledge will be preferred;
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS and IHG Systems is preferred.
