What are my responsibilities?  

As a Houseman you assist the daily operations of our Styling (Housekeeping) team and you play a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. 

As a Houseman you… 

• Are responsible for providing our guests with an inspirational stay and give them stories to share.

• Support room attendants by replenishing supplies and delivering items to guest rooms as needed. 

• Assist in preparing rooms for new arrivals by ensuring they are stocked with fresh linens, towels, and all necessary amenities. 

• Maintain and clean public areas, including hallways, lobbies, and restrooms, ensuring a perfect environment throughout the hotel. 

• Respond promptly to special guest requests, delivering extra linens, supplies, or amenities with a smile. 

• Help ensure the hotel is always guest-ready, maintaining a welcoming and clean environment.

To be eligible for this position you… 

• Communicate fluently in English. 

• Are flexible and able to work in the morning, day, evening and during the weekends. 

• Can’t stop cleaning till everything is perfect and have a passion for hospitality. 

• Available full-time.

A unique opportunity is awaiting you in the city center of one of the most dynamic markets in Europe. We are excited that the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently undergoing a full transformation. A major investment has been made in the hotel which will result in completely renovated guest rooms and public areas, including a brand-new bar, restaurant and rooftop bar & terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms and an additional conference center will be constructed. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a very high focus on sustainability and will aim to become an enhancement to the city of Amsterdam.
