Set in the vibrant, capital city of the Netherlands, Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American, now part of Dalata Hotel Group is a 4-star, 173-bedroom hotel with an extensive food and beverage offering including a Café and Bar. It is located on the Leidseplein, in one of the most famous art nouveau buildings in Amsterdam

Objective of the Role

You are the point of contact for our guests and provide them with all the information they need. You help guests check in, explain where they can find the best museums this afternoon and ask if you can reserve a table for them in the Café Americain. In between you receive a call from a future guest who would like to reserve a room for next week. No problem, you arrange it! The next guests check out with you and thank you for your friendly service. They indicate that they will come back soon. That's what you do it for!

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Check in guests
• Financial transactions
• Answer all possible questions guests may have
• Handle guest requests
• Check out guests
• Have knowledge of Amsterdam
• Have knowledge about the historical building

Requirements:

• You do work already in a hotel as receptionist, preferably 2 years or more.
• You are familiar with Opera (our PMS system).
• MBO Hotelschool diploma.
• You do not mind working on rotation schedules, weekends and holidays.
