JOB PURPOSE

The Steward supervisor is responsible for washing dishes, cleaning, and preparing crockery, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen materials as well as equipment from the restaurants. After cleaning, all materials are put back in their places for new use. The employee is also responsible for correctly removing and properly separating waste when taking it away. At the end of the shift, cleaning work is carried out in the washroom and the kitchen(s). General cleaning jobs will also be assigned and carried out. The 'deep clean' of the hotel kitchens and BOH areas.The Employee is responsible for first-line maintenance of the immediate working environment and tools within the Stewarding department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

It is essential for this position to meet the following requirements:*Flexible: Willing to work different shifts - mornings and evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays. Willing to work and assist in other departments within the organization if the business so requests.*Physically strong: Able to work on the floor for an entire shift and walk stairs due to different levels in the hotel. *Language skills: Able to read and write in English.
