The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has the position of a Technical Engineer available!

What are my responsibilities?

As a Technical Engineer, you’ll be the go-to ambassador for maintaining our hotel’s systems and infrastructure, ensuring a smooth and welcoming environment for guests and associates alike. From solving IT challenges to keeping our facilities operating seamlessly, you’ll explore innovative solutions and enhance the guest experience through your technical expertise.

• System Maintenance & Support: Oversee, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across our property’s electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems, ensuring all equipment operates at optimal levels.

• IT Support:  Providing support for associates and guests on a range of IT and network systems, from internet connectivity to digital entertainment solutions.

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and explore new methods to maintain our systems proactively, identifying potential issues before they impact hotel operations.

• Collaborative Projects: Partner with other departments to discover technical solutions that improve hotel efficiency, guest experience, and staff productivity.

• System Installation & Upgrades: Assist in setting up new equipment and systems, exploring innovative technologies that enhance the guest experience and improve operational efficiency.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and IT support requests to monitor trends and ensure smooth operation of systems.

To be eligible for this position you…

• Proven experience in technical engineering, facilities maintenance, and/or IT support.

• Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and IT-related systems.

• Familiarity with hotel operations is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills with an affinity for service and a passion for creating memorable experiences.

A unique opportunity is awaiting you in the city center of one of the most dynamic markets in Europe. We are excited that the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently undergoing a full transformation. A major investment has been made in the hotel which will result in completely renovated guest rooms and public areas, including a brand-new bar, restaurant and rooftop bar & terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms and an additional conference center will be constructed. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a very high focus on sustainability and will aim to become an enhancement to the city of Amsterdam.
